Yaser Safi was born in Syria in 1976 and lives and works in Berlin. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Damascus and later taught in the Engraving Department of the College of Damascus, before becoming a lecturer in the Department of Engraving at Adham Ismail Institute and a supervisor on Graphic arts at the Sharjah Institute of Art in the United Arab Emirates. His works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including in Damascus, Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, New York, Paris and Berlin.
