An interactive performance about late-night dreams during a state of emergency (Syria in the last decade, Germany before WWII, or the COVID lockdown) where the performer built a space where there were no more embarrassment if one sleeps during a play, on the contrary, it was encouraged, and the sleeping audience was welcome to share their dreams. So much in common among these dreams and so many inputs, expressions, nightmares, symbols and solutions by the dreams of the performers: Mert Akbal, Gizem Akman, Annette Assmy, Bassam Dawood, Amr Karkout, Fatina Laila, Lorenzo Malloni, Roua Reshah, Eneko Sanz, Layal Seifan, Theresa Scheitzenhammer, Duygu von Kaban, and the artistic and creative vision of Mey Seifan. Reality Check has been the example of when watching theatre is not rigid and when theatre is not a state of emergency anymore.
Project supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste #takepart and Barzakh gGmbH. Held on 2021.
